SUMMER CAMP

At Riverside, campers will have the opportunity to experience the love of Christ first-hand within a group of their peers. With our small group dynamic camping, campers will be in groups with other campers of their age, led by two counselors and supported by two program staff.  This low staff to camper ratio allows campers the support to foster friendships and try new activities, creating memories that last a lifetime! Campers stay with their group as they rotate through activities led by trained program staff.

DAY CAMP

Summer days are made for sunshine, fun, and being outside with some of your best friends. Our Day Camp program embodies that attitude as the flagship of Riverside summer camp. Day camp is for ages 5-13. Every day starts with camper drop-off between 7:30AM and 8:15AM. The entire day is spent focusing on faith formation (through worship experiences and bible studies) and building lasting relationships (through play and social interaction with your camper's family groups). Your campers day wouldn't be complete without jumping in the pool, hopping in the gaga pit, or relaxing in the camp store. It is incredible how much fun we can pack into one day, but we do all that before pick-up between 5:15PM and 6:00PM.
Weeks Available: June 1 - August 7, 2020
Cost: $120/camper/week

MINISTER OF THE WEEK

Our campers need Ministers like you!

We are looking for a few good United Methoidst ministers to volunteer for 1 week at Riverside this summer!  Your week will be filled with worship leadership, fellowship with campers and staff, and play, Riverside style!

Our M.O.W. (minister of the week) will participate in 2 worship experiences daily.  We have created the curriculum, we just want our campers to hear your unique perspective and creative delivery!  You will also get a chance to work closely with each camper in an activity we call Holy Habits.  This is an opportunity to lead campers in different types of prayer.  We want to enable our campers with a way to continue their walk even after they leave Riverside.

For more information on how to become a Minister of the Week please contact Kimi

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DAY CAMP

HOW DO I REGISTER MY CAMPER?

This year, we are only offering online registration.  Follow the link on this page.  Give yourself 10 minutes at least to complete each camper's registration.  You will need to complete current medical information before you can complete the registration process.  A deposit is required to hold your campers spot, you are welcome to complete that online, or you may mail a check to our office.

I DON'T KNOW MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD FROM LAST YEAR.

If you head to the registration link and you don't remember your information from previous years, you can use the links provided on that page or you may call our office and we can remotely reset them for you.

Please do not create a new account!  It makes it very confusing on our end when we see two of your camper in the system.

DOES MY DAY CAMPER NEED TO EAT BREAKFAST?

Parents drop off campers between 7:30 - 8:15 each morning.  We serve a hot breakfast at 8:30 every day.  So if your child gets up really early, then they might need a snack, first thing, but other than that, our breakfasts are hearty and all you can eat.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN WITH FOOD ALLERGIES?

We frequently accommodate children and guests with special diets.  The special diets we are able to cater to include: vegetarians, gluten-free diets, and peanut allergies.  If your camper has dietary needs more specific than those, please call our office so we can discuss our menus and your camper's options.

WHAT IS THE CAMP STORE AND WHAT AMOUNT IS APPROPRIATE FOR MY CAMPER FOR THE WEEK?

Our camp store is a indoor facility for our campers to take a break and get a snack, relax and play games.  Day campers typically go to the camp store in the afternoon.  Small snacks, sodas, sports drinks and candy are offered for the campers to choose from for their snack.  Campers are not allowed to carry cash for the camp store.  All camp store money needs to be deposited prior to or on Monday during check in.  WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING MID WEEK CAMP STORE PAYMENTS.

A typical amount that will get your camper through the week is $20-$30 per week.  We understand everyone's budget is different and we will help your camper spend down their account so they will have money through the entire week.

CAN MY CAMPER BRING THEIR CELLPHONE TO CAMP?

No.  Please do not send your camper with their cell phone.  We will be the first to call you if there is an issue that we need your assistance to resolve.  Cell phones are a distraction from the camp experience.  If we see a phone we will take if from your camper until they are checked out at the end of the day.
